Contact

The original site carried a contact form that reached the project team. It is not here, and that is deliberate.

This is an archived copy of the Photo-id Ninja project site. It is not operated by Massey University, by NIWA or by anyone who worked on the project, and there is nothing behind a form here that could answer you. A form that looked like it worked would simply collect messages nobody reads.

If you are looking for the project

The research groups named on the about page are the ones to approach directly; they are easy to find and their own contact details are current, which the ones on this archive are not.

If you are looking for the software

The extraction service is closed and there is no download. Automatic fin detection is an active field and there are maintained tools now that did not exist when this site was written.

About this site

Photo-id Ninja was a dolphin photo-identification tool: it found the dorsal fins in field photographs and returned them cropped. This is an archived copy of the project site, kept online as a record. The tool itself, the demo and the user accounts are closed.
